Artists and scientists often use mapping as a method to gather information, make sense of it, and share their discoveries. Historically, my art maps reactions to and interpretations of personal phenomena, ranging from abstract paintings inspired by my break with the fashion industry to the light and lines of my former studio as I repositioned myself from businesswoman to visual artist. I often use photography or architecture as a starting point for autobiographical artworks, mixing the physical and emotional through a combination of appropriation and formal psychological choices.
